Thank
You Tejanos
and
Tejanas 2006
Happy New Year 2007, from
Tejano Pride USA, Chanty and Rudy.
Thanks to the overwhelming and dedicated support
primarily of Tejanos and other
music fans in Tejas and other states, Tejano Music in 2006, was a very
productive and successful year.
The Tejano Music Genre was very good for
bands, conjuntos, orchestras and other groups. Tejano music managers,
promoters, recording companies, video producers, club owners, magazine
publishers and other organizations, welcomed and benefited from the
steady increase in attendance by Tejano music enthusiast, who attended
concerts, dances, purchased CD's, videos, magazines and other goods.
Tejanos and Tejanas were very good for the Tejano music industry .
In 2006, Tejanos and Tejanas once again flew to Las Vegas from all parts
of the Continental United States to enjoy an exciting, fun filled
Tejano Music Convention. Thousands of Tejanos congregated at a
popular Las Vegas hotel, to enjoy a fun filled weekend of Puro Tejano
Music entertainment, by top of the line Tejano musicians. Tejanos came to
Las Vegas to play and party puro Tejano Style. I am convinced
promoter Mr. David Chavez and sponsors, certainly appreciated, the
Tejanos and Tejanas, who attended the spectacular event. Las
Vegas, airlines, hotels, Restaurants, auto rentals and others, were very
happy to see the return of Los Tejanos.
In Texas, San Antonio was the other city, where Tejanos and Tejanas from
other parts of Tejas, the United States and the world came to party in
2006. Every year in March, Texas Talent Musicians Association
holds it's annual Tejano Music Fan Fair. The party kicks off
with The Tejano Music Awards. A night, where
Tejano music musicians
are recognized for their exceptional contributions to the unique
Tejano Music Genre.
Tejano music bands, conjuntos, orchestras and other groups,
entertained thousands of Tejanos and other visitors, who flock around
three main stages to listen, dance and enjoy, absolutely the best Tejano
Spanish Music in the World. This event takes place at San Antonio's
world famous market square. Four days of fun from midday to midnight.
Again thanks to Tejanos and beautiful Tejanitas, who attended, 2006
turned out to be a great year.
Why has Tejano Music survived? Because Tejanos
will never let it die.
Who has kept Tejano music alive? One word oops
actually two: Tejanos and Tejanas
In 2006 Tejano Pride
representatives
visited and met with Tejano musicians, promoters, independent Tejano radio
stations owners, managers, Tejano music Club Owners, Tejano Music
Organizations, Tejano Music shop and store owners, last but not least
Tejano Music radio station D.J.'s. The most important message and
request given to each of the above was on behalf of the thousands of
Tejanos, who have faithfully supported Tejano Music
thru
the thick and thin of it's existence.
We asked for a very simply yet most important thing for Tejanos. Mainly
the recognition of thousands of Tejanos and Tejanas in Tejas and
other States, who have consistently stood by, supported and through their
individual efforts kept Tejano music alive.
We asked and pleaded for them to please mentioned the TEJANOS AND TEJANAS
during their promotions, sales and live presentations. Tejano Pride,
humbly but earnestly persuaded that the primary Tejano music fans, the
Tejanos, not be taken
for granted. Tejanos and Tejanas it's time to take the credit
and stand behind, what so rightfully is ours. Our Tejano
identity, culture and unique heritage.
Let us acknowledge, recognize and show appreciation to the
thousands of Tejanos and Tejanas, who have faithfully supported and kept
our
Spanish/ bilingual Texas music style alive.
While some well known Tejano music
vocalists such as Chente Barrera, Jay Perez, Emilio, Mark Ledesma,
Shelly Lares, Elida Reyna, Los Garcia Brothers, Ram Herrera, Joe Posada,
David Lee Garza, Adalberto of L. Breed and others, have
actually mentioned and acknowledge Los Tejanos.........
To be continued ..... do not miss the rest of the message
